陳偉殷昨奪勝後旋即在臉書上寫著：「希望今天的勝利，可以帶給塵爆受傷的朋友們，多一點點的勇氣來面對傷痛，也希望大家能多體恤辛勞的救災、醫護人員，大家加油！」
賽後談到八仙塵爆意外時，殷仔神色悄然：「雖然了解得不是很具體，但看了心中很難過。希望傷者儘快復原，醫護人員也辛苦了。」
陳偉殷是位關心國家的「台灣殷雄」，人在國外心繫故鄉。去年家鄉高雄發生氣爆不久，他拿第12勝，賽後卻是向國際記者們陳述高雄的災情，話語滿是真情，表達他與高雄同在之心，在場記者為之動容。
